The talk shows how walkable 3D models make complex financial content easy to grasp, and why they achieve more than tables and charts in conversations with clients, investors and staff.

The first part is about what these models are good for, and participants experience the examples right there in Arthur. In the Zinsgebirge, the yields of European government bonds become a landscape of valleys and peaks. The years of negative rates and the inflation shock of 2022 stand there as formations you can walk across. Volagebirge, Creditgebirge and Erwartungslandschaft carry the same idea over to volatilities, credit spreads and market expectations.

The second part shows how companies and asset managers can use architecture as a timeline, for instance to present the history of their funds. The example is the Fonds-Helix, a walkable spiral building: the fund’s milestones line the inside, the market events that shaped it line the outside. Walking up the helix means walking through the fund’s history year by year. For a new fund, a helix like this can be filled with real data within a few days.

The talk takes place in Arthur, an immersive platform for virtual collaboration and meetings. Arthur runs on Meta Quest and lets participants work together in virtual rooms and experience content in space.
